Dear Obsidian - I've had continuous issues with my unit overheating (I think). The games I play really don't push it that hard (1080), but the only time the PC just turns off is when in a game. Fan Control (I'm running the latest 2.4.4) is doing it's job increasing RPM based on temperature. Unfortunately, there is nothing in the Windows logs indicating why the shutdown occurred.
First question is - will Fan Control turn off the PC if certain temperatures are reached, or will it just do it's best?
Second question - does Fan Control log temperatures and rpms anywhere? If not, it would be a very useful addition to the product.
Finally, on the Settings tab, there is a "Fix Dependencies" button. What does this do?
